With reference to your advertisement in the (date) issue of FFF, I wish to apply for the post of bookbinder within your family-run company.  

As you can see from the curriculum vitae that I have enclosed, I have the experience and skills that you are looking for. I have an NVQ in bookbinding and gilding, and have been in the profession for five years. I currently work for DDD, but I would like to implement my skills and experience within a company where the production is not standardised.
